Wild Clay spoon rest

Wild Clay spoon rest

CA$15.00

Made from clay dug from my farm in Saskatchewan. Stamp designed by me.

The glaze is also made from the clay itself - mixed with water and powdered glass (frit), the mixture fuses to the clay in the high temperature of the kiln and makes a smooth surface.

Artist's Notes:

I now live in BC, Canada, but I’ll always be a Saskatchewan farm kid! Thank you for taking a look at my experiments. It took 2 years to figure out how turn this Saskatchewan mud into a mug, and I’m so happy to share the results with you. These spoon rests are food safe and perfect for beside your stove. The bottoms have been sanded smooth so they don't scratch your counter or glass top.

Food, microwave, oven, and dishwasher safe, but handmade pottery loves to be pampered with hand washing and gentle use :) The bottom of each piece has been smoothed with diamond sanding pads to prevent scratching your furniture.

Shipped items always include an extra little gift, and are packed attractively and safely with re-used materials (bubble wrap, foam sheets, and brown wrapping paper) to help reduce waste. Items are shipped from Princeton BC via Canada Post. I live in a rural area and I bring parcels to the post office 1-2 times per week, so your items will be shipped within 2-5 days of your order. Shipping is $18-25 depending on your location; this is calculated at check-out.
Thank you for supporting my small business!
