Size and shape is modeled after the famous Hario v60 pourover, to fit a #2 cone filter. My pottery version also comes with a handmade reusable fabric filter and matching dish to catch any dribbles. The texture on the inside is also intentional; it holds the filter slightly away from the surface to create small air pockets that improve flow.

These pourovers sit on top of your mug for an individual brew. They work on both my 14 and 16oz sizes. Will also fit on all mugs up to 3.4”/8.5cm in diameter.

Shown here with both mug sizes: 16oz size (Harvest Gold Bee) and the 14oz size (Berry Purple All or Something).

Artist's Notes:

Made with high-quality, durable stoneware clay sourced from the Canadian Prairies, glazed with food-safe materials that I mix myself and fired to vitrification in my electric kiln.

I love bringing influences from my life into my work - the inner texture of this piece is reminiscent of the luscious tooling on western saddles. I am a rancher and I've always loved the buckaroo tendency to embrace dandy patterns in neck scarves, shirts, and saddles: the subtle flair of florals juxtaposed with the toughened bodies and attitudes of ranchers. The texture is shallow and easy to clean.

Handmade with lots of love in my home studio in BC, Canada. All my mugs start as hand-rolled slabs of soft clay and I shape them with the use of simple tools and sponges. I like to leave the joining seam visible, signaling that the pieces were not formed on the pottery wheel and have a unique relationship with my hands. Each one is decorated freehand with liquid clay, so every design is individually different.

My inspiration is to make items for “everyday luxury” - useful pots that are a pleasure to use and look at. My experience as a henna artist helps me draw designs with exquisite detail, and my hope is that the raised texture brings you joy.

Food, microwave, oven, and dishwasher safe, but handmade pottery loves to be pampered with hand washing and gentle use :)

Shipped items always include an extra little gift, and are packed safely and prettily with re-used materials (bubble wrap, foam sheets, and brown wrapping paper) to help reduce waste. Shipping is $18-25 depending on your location; this is calculated at check-out.
